Siciliana for a Baroque Cathedral?

from BWV 1001 — Violin Sonata in D Minor, J.S. Bach.

Practicing and humming this movement, I started hearing echoes. Were they intentional? Could it have been written for a particular building with a long delay time? By ancient aliens?

Perhaps through an interdisciplinary collaboration we can uncover which building, or if this compositional approach had been used by Bach, or was known to him? Or is there a perfect geological feature where this Siciliana should be performed? Send serious inquiries to chris at mandelics.com

For now, here is my empirical research. The first two are copy/paste after-the-fact; the last is me learning to play against the delay pedal.
